Welcome To NYC!

Attending the 2019 All American High School Film Festival offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore and celebrate the future of film. With a diverse schedule of events featuring entertainment and enrichment, the action-packed weekend promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Below, you will find planning guides specifically designed to help you prepare for your trip to New York City and the 2019 AAHSFF. We look forward to welcoming you to the Big Apple and the biggest student film festival in the world!

Dear Parents,

If your filmmaker was chosen as an Official Selection it means that their film(s) will screen at the AMC Theaters in Times Square, the busiest movie theater in America! Their film(s) will also be eligible to win awards at our Teen Indie Award Show where we will present over $400,000 in prizes and scholarships. This is as big as it gets for young filmmakers and many families attend the festival to celebrate their child’s achievement. We know that traveling to New York City can be a bit overwhelming, but don’t worry! We’re here to help. Below you will find an FAQ and a parent-focused Event Planning Guide that specifically addresses questions parents often ask. We hope that this will help you when planning your festival experience. Of course, if you still have questions, you can email us at info@aahsff.com. Links to both the Parent Event Planning Guide and our FAQ page can be found below.

Throughout the weekend you can expect a celebration of your young filmmaker’s artistic journey: Three action-packed days dedicated to showcasing their talent, exploring resources for improving their craft, learning about educational and career opportunities, and connecting with other passionate young artists from all over the world. Everything that happens at the festival is for and about young filmmakers, with equal parts education and entertainment and a wide variety of activities to explore every day. We hope to see you in October!
